Not too good not too bad
Bought this as a speacial deal for $249 inc. delivery, delivery was amazingly fast.
Setting it up took only about 5 minutes, trouble is the reverse cycle heating. It says its reverse cycle but to use the heating function you actually need to put around 30 minutes to get it to make your room any warmer. Not so happy about the heating.
Apart from the heting, its pretty good for the price tag of $249.00 and while writing this review this product is $199.00 FML.
But overall its good, just a bit noisy but i think for this price i can bear it

Too cool for school
So I just took delivery of this unit. I am VERY happy with the Deals Direct speed of processing and shipping, 5days from ordering to delivery in QLD & that includes a weekend.
Pros
The unit was very easy to set up out of the box and within minutes was blowing nice cold air..
Cons
As others have said it is noisy, but then so were the old wall mounted AC's and I guess this is just like a portable one of those. It is quite smelly, i.e. off-gassing plastic kinda smell which should lessen with age. The other thing that did disappoint me was that although all the components looked new and unused, the unit had greasy smudges & fingerprints & some scuffing/scratches over it, which probably happened in the factory.. they should clean up OK though.

AÜX Reverse Cycle Portable Air Conditioner
Fantastic, ordered Monday, delivered Wednesday. Works OK but noisy. Doesn't cool as well as I'd like but OK considering the price. The hose outlet for the water is in a really bad position and hard to access. Poor design I feel. Quick and easy to assemble.

Great buy
Arrived to Mrlbourne two days after ordering! Comes almost already setup (caster wheels installed, etc). Hose was tricky to install, I recommend putting the aircon end first, then the window end in. I had it set up and switched on within 5 min of it arriving, so it's fiddely but not impossible. 20 min later the lounge room and adjoining hallway (5m x 4m plus hallway) are so cold I've turned the machine down.
Only downside is the noise, it's pretty loud (turn tv up, need to talk a little louder kind of loud). But it's compact, works a treat, and was a great price, highly recommended.

what a great purchase! Wasn't ecpecting such an efficient machine....strong cooling air immediately & sensible hose/window exhaust. Yes bottom tray unfortunate, but for the $$ is a great machine.

Nice little unit
I got this aircon for my son's small bedroom and it works great, nice and cool even on a higher temp setting.
Some people are saying its hard to setup, well all i can say to that is that they must have a very low IQ as its as easy as ABC

Good value for money
Purchased this for our caravan, but its too big and needs lots of room for the back hose/vent. So it will be used in the house instead. Bigger than expected, would need lots of room for the vent hose, quite noisy, definately couldn't sleep with it on. BUT, COOLS VERY QUICKLY !!!

Hot n Bothered
Not impressed with sideways temp display on unit!
Needs 2 hoses so air going into unit to cool heat exchanger does not draw air from room as it then creates low pressure and hot air comes in from elswhere making it inefficient.
Cooled my 15 foot caravan from 41 deg C to 30 deg C in 30 mins.
Used a 1/4 inch fuel line to poke into water outlet and fed outside the bonus is one can collect water for lead acid batteries and steam irons!
Has louvre swing buttons on remote but not on this model!
Overall it works fine best improvement would be 2 hoses going to window.

Good portable air-con
The portable air-con is good for use. Weather hit 40 degrees in Melbourne yesterday, and it took a bit of boost for the air-con to start cooling the room down.
The exhaust pipe + other attachments were a bit of a pain to fit together, so I had to improvise, hence, I had to lower down the score a little. But once you get this going, you'll love it. There are a few other annoying bits as well (drainage pipe being really low, as some had said) but nothing that's significant. For a portable air-con of this price ($350) it's worth it, and does pretty much the same job as other more expensive ones around $600-$1000.

A little Beauty
I bought this air-conditioner for my dogs room and it's great. Cooled the room down quickly. The room is in full sun all the time and this conditioner cooled down the room great, the dogs love it. The window duct is a bit of a pain with the size of the hose and the drain hole is really low too. But those problems can be easily overcome. Good looking unit, easy setup and easy to operate. Is a bit noisy though but We are very happy.

Cool at Last!!! Great value for money.
At last I can now get to work in my Model Train room thanks to the efficiency of this great little Air Conditioner. The room is 6x3 metres and is basically a lined colorbond shed which as you can appreciate was like a sauna on a hot Adelaide day. As soon as unpacked the unit, set it up, which was very easy, plugged it it in and switched it on, I knew I was on a winner. Everything including the walls felt hot to touch and within a half hour things started to cool down. I was able to turn it down to low setting which was more than adequate to keep the room at a comfortable working temperature and my temper at a respectable level.
In summary, I think for the price it does a great job for what it is designed for, a room up to 20 square metres.
